I REFUSED

Can I share a story with you guys about these photos?

These photos reflect a time when my family was really struggling.

We were in the midst of a two year stint without steady income. We were already returning batteries and light bulbs to Walmart to buy food for the kids. We were hustling to survive. But many bills were going unpaid.

I remember one day our AC got turned off for lack of payment. It was a hot summer in Utah and it didn’t take long for the house to warm up. Mom idea - turn it into a game! I opened the freezer door and let my two little toddlers stand on chairs to cool their faces off by the cold air.

Mack & Andi laugh and laughed, not a care in the world. And I was filled with gratitude that my kids were young enough to be NAIVE to what was going on.

Fast forward a few years and Jayson was working. But looking at projections we felt his job wasn’t something we could count on forever.

I knew as my kids got older the likelihood of Jayson’s job going away would increase - and how do you explain to teenagers why the AC got turned off?

I REFUSED, hear me - REFUSED - to repeat the financial stress we had just endured.

When I fell in love with a product and saw others sharing THEIR love for the product and earning an income for doing so, I was all in.

I think as moms we all have an inner MOMMA BEAR. That inner drive to PROTECT our family, no matter the cost.

And this momma bear saw a threat to her cubs and I REFUSED to stand idly by.

I made a lot of personal sacrifices to be where we are today. But I’d make those sacrifices all over again, I have no regrets!

Ladies - make NO EXCUSES for being that momma bear!! Whatever threats you see against your family, no matter what they be - stand tall knowing you are DESIGNED to take care of your kids and BE that momma bear willing to FIGHT for your children.

Whether it be for their health or better education, for good friends or financial security - I’m rooting on the momma bears of the world.
